After some tinkering, the procedures for joining a division are finally updated.
All new recruits are no longer required to join a division before they reach 3000 Outfit Points. Instead, they now have 30 days (starting from the day they made their "I want to join GotR" post) to try them all out, apply for the one they like and join it. If you haven't joined a division after 30 days, your forum access will be revoked and you'll be kicked from the outfit.
To help new recruits get accustomed to the forums, a new forum title has been created. It is called "Newbie" and will be seen under your name in all posts you make. Everyone with the "Newbie" title will have limited access to the outfit-only area of the forums, namely the Ghost Training Facility, all the divisional forums and a couple of other important areas. The "Newbie" forum title reflects the "Private" outfit rank in-game.
As soon as you have joined your division of choice and have been added to its roster on the forums, you will be promoted to the "Shadow Corporal" rank in-game, and your forum title will be changed from "Newbie" to "Ghost (xx)", where xx are the initials of your new division - PG, WW, 555th or DL. You will also be granted access to all the outfit forums, including the Events, Suggestions, Strategy and War Stories forums, as well as all the other areas you were previously denied access to.
While your divisional or unit commander will usually update your status as soon as you have met all the requirements, it is your responsibility to check the forums regularly (as the 1st Pillar states) and make sure you are indeed in your division's roster. If you you believe you have fulfilled all 4 Pillars but are still a Private in game and/or are still carrying the "Newbie" title, you should contact your commander and ask him to update your status. If you don't do that and your commander does indeed forget to update your status, you risk being kicked out of the outfit after the 30-days period has passed.
The GOTR policy guide has been updated to include these changes and updates.
