12-Jan-2006 Outfit Raid MVPs!
Once again, another Thursday gone, another awesome GOTR raid with a turnout of nearly 80 people, and another round of MVPs to hand out!
The first recipient comes from Phantom Guard, GOTRs armor division. For his selfless dedication to the MAC unit within that division, driving a Skyguard all night long, keeping the Lodestars and Magriders safe, stand in awe of ThatOneGuyYouHate! Congratulations!
Next up, from GOTRs air division, the Wind Wraiths, the award goes to a name everyone should recognize by now. For his excellent command and control, coordination, quick response times, and the ability to keep no less than five liberators crewed, on task, and raining death from above -- SATCOM, congratulations man, you have earned it!
Over in GOTRs infantry division, the 555th Ghost Assault Battallion, a new face to GOTR and the 555th takes the cake this week. Having been with GOTR for less than a month, this Ghost is already demonstrating a great level of dedication, loyalty, and enthusiasm. This Thursday, he stood out by keeping cool during a nearly disasterous Gal drop, staying alive, and reviving his entire fallen squad, allowing them to continue on inside the enemy facility. Our hats are off to you, Tanat!
The final submission this week comes from Daemon Legion, GOTRs SpecOps division, and they present us with another name we should all recognize. For responding to all orders with skill and without delay, switching targets several times on a moments notice, and being a driving force behind the VS keeping the TR from getting a foothold and turning the fight into another horrific 3-way.. Nalar-K, you sir, have the respect and admiration of us all.
Now, lets see what we can do next week. Keep recruiting. Talk to those that missed the raid this time around. Work on your training and tactics. Let's see if we can't manage an additional squad or two for the raid coming up..
..a GOTR only poplock. You know you want it. We're over halfway there!

05-Jan-2006 Outfit Raid MVPs!
Well, the first Raid MVP awards for 2006 are in, if a little late. Sorry for that! Anyway, here we go.
First up, the Wind Wraiths have chosen to honor a member that's been with GOTR for about a year now, and has been in every division except DL at one time or another. For showing exceptional character under pressure, with no warning and no experience, the WW Raid MVP is TheSilentViper for his impromptu command and control of Spectre Wing.
In the armor division, Phantom Guard, the award goes to a brand new guy to the outfit and the division. Attending his first raid, he was shouldered with all the standard stress and responsibility every new guy has to handle, and an additional one on top of that -- being the mag driver for yours truly. It's an unenviable task being my driver, since my gunning attention span is horrific during the Thursday raid, but this guy did an excellent job and is so far a great asset to GOTR. Congratulations, DeltaRecon, you are the Raid MVP from PG!
Over in our SpecOps division, Daemon Legion, another young buck is getting the nod for completing every order, no matter how demanding, with efficiency and speed. In addition, demonstrating an unwavering devotion to his unit, division, and outfit, this person took time out of the fighting to fly halfway across the continent to a friendly BioLab to change out his implants when asked by his commander. Kudos to you, Gulak, for your first GOTR Raid MVP award!
Last but not least, we turn to our Infantry division, the 555th Ghost Assault Battallion, and another new face to GOTR. For his unwavering dedication, steady aim, and steadier nerves under fire, this weeks MVP for the 555th is none other than SlowKiller. I'm sure the fact that he sounds like a younger RenDog had nothing to do with it! Excellent work kid, excellent.
Congratulations to all of you again; TheSilentViper, DeltaRecon, Gulak, and SlowKiller -- huzzah!

New recruitment video..
Nalar-K has created a new recruitment video for GOTR! It's available in the theater now. 65MB and will require DivX5 (or XviD) codec to play.
The piece is about 2.5 minutes long and spends a little time showcasing each division individually as well as together.
Excellent work, Nalar!
