15-Dec-2005 Outfit Raid MVPs!
This week, we have one "new guy" and three veterans on the list for the outfit raid divisional MVPs.
First up, the new guy, Zenblue from the 555th Ghost Assault Battallion. For his exceptional raid attendance, following orders without complaint or question, and being such a quick learner and valuable member of his fireteam, congratulations Zenblue.
In the Phantom Guard, SkyGhost, a Ghost Major and former commander of the Banshees has earned recognition for his invaluable contributions as Lodestar pilot. Despite coming under fire several times, he never panicked, and kept the armor repaired and in the fight the entire night.
NIHILv2 from the PEST subdivision of Daemon Legion also gets the nod for his contributions to the battle, specifically for dropping an untold number of enemy generators, sometimes in the thick of battle, and sometimes not. He was also single-handedly responsible for the capture of Kisin during the raid. Your contributions do not go unnoticed, NIHIL!
Finally, from the Wind Wraiths, Skull Squadron, Biscuit2 is hereby thanked his tireless contributions to that unit, division, and the outfit as a whole. While dealing admirably with all of the normal difficulties associated with running a unit during the raid, he also personally provided valuable recon on enemy Galaxies, Liberators, Flails, and Armor Columns, allowing the rest of his division to intercept and destroy them before they posed a threat to the VS. Thank you, Biscuit!

08-Dec-2005 Outfit Raid MVPs!
Once again, we bring you our weekly Outfit Raid MVPs, as chosen by their divisional officers.
From the Wind Wraiths, a new addition to the ranks of GotR. Pepsiman is one of several picked up since the dissolution of Band of Bros, and is beginning to make his mark here in GotR; He gets the nod here for really being on the ball when it came to carrying out orders in a quick and efficient manner, for the entire raid, start to finish.
The armor division, Phantom Guard, sees another long-time Ghost getting the nod. OperationMindcrime is a veteran of both PS and GotR, a Ghost General, and a former Division Commander of the unit. OMC is a jack of all trades, equally skilled at gunning a mag, soloing BFRs, and is always ready to dismount, enter the enemy facility, fight his way to the LLU, and bring it out for delivery -- GotR style.
Over in the specops division, Daemon Legion, another new member gets the nod. Snaf is beginning to impress everyone with his dedication both to his unit and his division. He is doing an excellent job of showing just how overrated HA is, and how underestimated true skill is, by emerging victorious in numerous fights against the pshield using, rexo wearing, HA toting red and blue.
The 555th, our infantry division and the reason for the delay in this posting.. has finally submitted their MVP!! The nod this week goes to FourtySixAndTwo, that tool, for his selfless duty as a combat medic under fire, and for making his divisions stellar Interlink assault a success. Dropping to the roof and forming up under the dish, Fourty allowed the 555th to proceed with the attack without anyone having to tap out. Additionally, putting his advanced hacking skills to use, doors were opened, terminals hacked, and CCs stolen without him ever having to be told. Excellent work, fourtysixandtwo.

GOTRs Emerald VS Outfit Outreach and Discussion Program
There has been a plan in the works for a long time, behind the scenes, here at GOTR.net. A plan to return the entire Emerald VS, and GOTR along with them, to the pinnacle of PS gaming.
Some of you may be aware of a little something that used to be a real force to be recokoned with, called the UVA (United Vanu Alliance) and their sister group, made of up people that didn't get along with the UVA people, called the VRT (Vanu Round Table).
These so called "Outfit Alliances" ultimately failed...
...What they left in their wake was a cesspit of accusations, flame wars, non-cooperation, anger, and a general feeling of "Screw you, buddy."
GOTR was a part of the UVA for a while, the core of it, the backbone it has been said. The pressure was too much for our outfit and our leadership, and we are not looking to form a "new UVA" or even a formal "outfit alliance."
What we are doing is the first step in building new roads, new bridges, and new lines of communications for Emerald VS outfits that want to coordinate and cooperate with us, tactically or strategically.
I am posting this news bit to announce the opening of a new Forum here at GOTR.net, with two new boards. Access to these boards is independant of being a GOTR member or not, and is granted on an as-needed basis by myself or another admin.
The new forums are simple and straight forward. One is an "off topic" area for discussing your standard off-topic fare. The other is the thrust of the idea, and is a "down to business" place to help facilitate communications, tactics, and strategy.
If you are an officer in another Emerald VS outfit, and would like to have access, getting it is simple. Go to our forums, register, and then send me a PM saying what outfit you're from and that you'd like access.
If your OL or other officers that outrank you in your outfit are already members, they will be contacted to make sure they don't have a problem with you being here. We will be allowing perhaps half a dozen people from visiting outfits access to this area, which is about in parity with the number of GOTR people that can currently see it.
The rules enforced will be simple and fair, and are spelled out in the forum. Basically you can sum it all up with "don't be a smacktard." No flame wars. No "going off" on other forum users. No doing anything that deviates from the soul of the project -- to help bring us together.
Egomaniacs, those with perpetual "I'm right, you're wrong" attitudes, or people just looking to cause trouble are not welcome and will be removed as they are discovered.
We look forward to seeing our VS brothers and sisters uniting again!

Big changes are afoot...
The weekly GOTR command meeting, which is still ongoing, has resulted in some "big" changes for GOTR. Some of you, especially if you've been gone for a while, are going to notice the changes as soon as you get on PS next, or visit the forums.
There will be a forum post detailing this later tonight or tomorrow, but for now I think a short explaination is in order.
1. No alts. This isn't a "big new change" to the old-timers around the outfit, this is a longstanding GOTR policy reinstated. Our roster(s) simply get too out of hand and unmanable for myself and the DCs. As such, no alts are allowed in GOTR from this point forward.
We have two alternate outfits currently, and we are willing to create a 3rd to hold alts if we need one, but they no longer exist in the main GOTR outfit. No more will be invited, and all the existing alts have been kicked.
2. No more tolerance for the "old timers." Old "grandfathered" members and their alts have all been kicked. This includes, if you're reading this or no them, BzA, Serendipity, Fintal, etc. This is nothing personal, but we've reached a point where we believe that we wouldn't want to be cluttering *your* roster, and we don't believe you're ever coming back. Once you've reached 200, 300, 400 days without logging on, come on.
What this really means, in other words, is the attendance rules for the outfit are now enforced fairly across the board -- no exceptions. If you go over 20 days and you aren't on leave, you get the boot.
There are more changes made, and being discussed, but those are the big ones people will notice right off..
We're buckling down and kicking GOTR in the ass to return us to our former glory. Either your with us, or.. cya.

01-Dec-2005 Outfit Raid MVPs!
29-Nov-2005 Raid MVPs
Finally, after much cajoling and false starts, here it is. In the style of the original "Golden LLU" award to the single raid MVP, I present you with the list of Divisional MVPs from the 29-Nov-2005 outfit raid, as decided upon by their commanding officers.
First up, a long-time Ghost that's been with the outfit through thick and thin, never wavering in his dedication. For recerting prior to the raid to provide transportation, never straying from the group, and generally being on top of the ball, the 555th Divisional MVP award goes to RazorEye.
Next, in alphabetical order by Division, comes Daemon Legion, GOTRs specops division. Another long time Ghost, shadowmuffin seems to be adapting well to his new home in DL after transferring from Wind Wraiths. For having the blood countless NC and TR infantry and vehicles on your hands, this one's for you Shadowmuffin.
Phantom Guard, GOTRs armor division, also has a long and illustrious history with the outfit. The newly appointed Division Commander, Ludes, had this to say about his nominee: He is constantly working to improve PG and the way PG conducts itself and performs all requested duties without hesitation. So, our hats go off to the second Ghost General to recieve the award for this raid, congratulations, Pawnee.
Finally, the nod over in the Wind Wraiths goes to Amadar for his unshakable dedication to GOTR, on the inside and the outside of the game itself. Always willing to help out in anyway he can in-game, Amadar has been willing to recert to anything at all at the drop of a hat. On the forums, he's known to be a valuable asset in the Tech Help area, in addition to being an all around fun and funny guy.
So congratulations to RazorEye, Shadowmuffin, Pawnee, and Amadar, your GOTR Divisional MVPs for the Thursday raid on December 1st, 2005!
